For Store Owners

How your store ended up listed, how to claim it, keep it up to date, and what to do if you want it removed.

How your store ended up listed

Used Project is a public directory. Store listings are sourced from publicly available data including Google Maps, local business registries and community contributions โ€” the same way a phone directory or mapping service works.

Being listed on Used Project is free and is intended to help potential customers find your store. You did not need to opt in to appear in the directory, and listing does not imply any endorsement or commercial relationship.

Note: If your store's information is incorrect or you'd like it removed, please see the sections below. We process these requests promptly.

Claiming your listing

Claiming your listing verifies that you are the owner or manager of the store and gives you the ability to update information directly.

To start a claim, visit your store's page on Used Project and look for the Claim this listing option, or contact us through the Contact page with your store name, suburb and a brief note confirming your connection to the business.

We verify claims manually and will get back to you within a few business days. Verification helps maintain the quality and trustworthiness of the directory for everyone.

Updating your store information

Whether or not you've claimed your listing, you can request changes to your store's information at any time via the Contact page or by using the Report this listing link on your store page.

Common updates include: correcting opening hours, updating a phone number or website, changing your address, adding or updating a description, and categorisation changes.

Tip: Include your store name, suburb and the specific change you'd like made. The more detail you give us, the faster we can process it.

Photos

Store pages may include photos contributed by community members โ€” shoppers who have visited and uploaded images of your store. These are reviewed before being published.

If you are the verified store owner and object to a specific photo, contact us and we'll review the request. Claimed store owners will have additional options to manage photos over time as those features develop.

Requesting removal

If your store has closed permanently, or you have a legitimate reason to request removal from the directory, contact us via the Contact page and select Request listing removal as the enquiry type.

We handle all removal requests respectfully and process them within a reasonable timeframe. Please include your store name, suburb and the reason for the request.

Our position: Used Project operates as a public directory of businesses. Listing information is drawn from public sources and its publication is covered under fair use principles for public interest information. However, we respect business owner preferences and will process reasonable removal requests.
