1. Who We Are
Used Project is an online directory of antique stores, op shops, vintage boutiques and second-hand retailers across Australia. The platform allows users to browse listings, create accounts, and send messages to other registered users. Used Project is operated by an Australian individual operator. - Usage data: pages visited, search queries entered, time and date of access, browser type, device type, and IP address — collected automatically via server logs and analytics tools.
- Store listing data: business name, address, contact details, and descriptions submitted by store owners or sourced from publicly available sources.
- Communications: any emails or messages you send to us directly.
We do not collect payment card details or financial information of any kind. Used Project does not process transactions.

We use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected or for directly related purposes, including:
- Operating and maintaining your account.

We may use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) that collect anonymised usage data. These services have their own privacy policies which govern their data practices.
6. Disclosure of Information
We do not disclose your personal information to third parties except in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party service providers for hosting, database management, authentication, and analytics. These providers are only given access to information necessary to perform their services and are required to keep it confidential.

7. Data Storage and Security
Your personal information is stored on secure servers. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure credential storage, and access controls.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot and do not guarantee the security of your personal information. You provide your information entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Used Project accepts no liability for any unauthorised access, disclosure, theft, corruption or destruction of your personal information, whether caused by third parties, technical failure, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to affected individuals, we will comply with the notifiable data breach scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including notifying the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and affected individuals as required.
8. Retention of Data
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes or where it forms part of aggregated, anonymised data that does not identify you.
Message content and activity logs may be retained for a period after account deletion for the purposes of investigating abuse, fraud or legal claims.
